Unusual ingredients. ongoing

Unusual ingredients is a multi-sensory collective bringing to life the relationships between sound and flavour. This is a collaboration with producer Adam Martin (Nightports) and food artist Caroline Hobkinson. Our work draws on the latest gastrophysical research into sensory perception, our music uses exact sonic frequencies and musical gestures calibrated to enhance the mouthfeel, flavour and provenance of each ingredient. Our work has been featured and reviewed in numerous publications, including The Times, The Guardian and Evening Standard. We have combined experience funding, managing and delivering a variety of artistic projects and brand partnerships across food and music.

ONE. September 2017

ONE was a touring production of music and visuals shaped site-responsively to venues around the UK. Performed by keyboardist/ composer Ben Gaunt, wrapped in an immersive visual set created through lighting, projection and drawing by artist Debbie Sharp. The project featured music for ONE, together with a newly commissioned graphic score improvisation book by Claudia Molitor.

ONE was supported using public funding by the national lottery through Arts Council England, and was part of the Composer-Curator programme 2017 from Sound and Music, the national charity for new music.
